BrainFx is improving clinical care and accelerating neuroscience. Learn how.

About BrainFx

BrainFx, now part of PlanetCorp, develops advanced neurorehabilitation and cognitive health tools to better understand how the brain functions in everyday life. Designed for use across the lifespan, our digital assessments support clinicians in identifying subtle brain dysfunctions that traditional tests may miss. Rooted in real-world healthcare environments, BrainFx is trusted by organizations working with both children and adults to deliver more personalized, evidence-informed care.

Our story

BrainFx is transforming the way the world understands brain health. Built on nearly two decades of clinical leadership in neurorehabilitation, BrainFx was created to fill a critical gap in cognitive assessment—capturing the real-world impact of mild to moderate brain dysfunction that traditional tools often miss.

Now part of PlanetCorp and operated by BrainFx AI Inc., we combine clinical expertise with advanced AI technology to deliver digital assessments that reflect everyday brain function. Our tools empower healthcare professionals to detect subtle changes early, monitor cognitive performance over time, and personalize care with greater precision.

At BrainFx, we believe brain health is just as essential to track as physical health—and we’re working to make that a reality in healthcare systems around the world.

The Challenge

Traditional standardized assessments often fail to align with real-world observations—particularly in individuals with mild to moderate cognitive dysfunction. These tools tend to overlook complex functional cognitive skills and assess cognition in isolation, without accounting for the impact of physical and psychosocial factors. As a result, clinicians must rely on a mix of disconnected tools, yet still face gaps in accurately understanding how brain dysfunction affects daily life. BrainFx was created to close that gap.

Why BrainFx

There was a clear need for a comprehensive assessment tool that could detect subtle brain dysfunction and reflect the challenges people face in everyday life. Existing tools often missed early signs of conditions like dementia or the milder effects of concussion. BrainFx was created to fill this gap—combining advanced technology, clinical expertise, and research to deliver neurofunctional assessments that provide deeper insights for healthcare teams. Our mission is to improve health outcomes globally by making invisible brain challenges visible.

Our Origins

BrainFx was developed to address a critical gap in brain health assessment—where traditional tools failed to detect early, subtle, and functionally relevant signs of brain dysfunction. The platform was originally created by experienced Occupational Therapists who brought deep clinical insight into the development of a more real-world, neurofunctional approach to cognitive assessment.

Their innovation led to the granting of U.S. Patent No. 10,249,417, covering the core methodology behind BrainFx's unique assessment framework. This intellectual property, along with the BrainFx platform, is now fully owned by PlanetCorp and operated under BrainFx AI Inc.

Today, BrainFx continues its mission with renewed scale and technological backing—empowering healthcare systems to detect, monitor, and support brain health across the lifespan.

Our Founders
Siva Vakalapudi
CEO

Fascinated within his clinical practice to always learn more about the functional presentation of brain disorders and passionate about educating anyone who will listen on the significant impact mild brain disorders can have in one's daily life, Siva is driven to promote BrainFx's mission to the world. Siva envisions a healthcare system where monitoring brain health and understanding functional implications of brain impairment are as commonplace as tracking physical health. When not working, Siva enjoys travelling to warm destinations, keeping active, and has a newfound determination to work through his bucket list.

Advisor

Inspired by her own frustration on the front lines, Tracy is passionate about unlocking how the brain functions to improve everyday life. By colliding clinical care with AI and technology, she envisions a world where monitoring your brain health is as common as your annual physical. Where clinicians don’t need to tell another patient with early or milder cognitive dysfunction to ‘come back when it is worse’ because they are empowered to act instead. When not striving to make a global impact on healthcare, ask to see photos of Tracy’s twice-a-year birthday cakes or pumpkin carvings.
